You can get lots of worms out of one piece of fabric; you can even make an extra long one and call it a Snake!

You'll need:
  • 1/4 yard of fleece material (this is the soft stuff that jackets and blankets are made out of)
  • Sewing machine or needle and thread
  • Stuffing material (you can buy this in a bag at a craft or fabric store, or use old fabric cut in strips)
  • A piece of wire or thin coat hanger, as long as your worm
Decorations:

Measure a 3" by 12" rectangle on the folded fabric. Place several pins in the rectangle (away from the edges) to keep the two pieces of fabric together. Cut out the rectangle. Trim one short end to make a point (this will be your worm's face). Carefully sew, with a sewing machine or a needle and thread. Start sewing at a long side, sew across the pointed end, and down the other long side. Now put the wire inside your worm and fill it up with stuffing material, trying to keep the wire near the center. Sew up the last short end. Shape it into a wormy shape. Add eyes from the store or make your own and glue them on. You can also add stripes, dots or hearts!
